So what is Leadership Pursuit?
Leadership Pursuit is an ongoing professional development organization in which young professionals in the Des Moines area can learn how to improve their specific
leadership skills.
The programming will offer a wide variety of leadership topics recommended by leaders from Des Moines’ top companies, schools and non-profit organizations, such as decision making, working with conflicting attitudes, how to network, task delegation, praise and recognition, personal presentation, office etiquette and more.
Content will be delivered by leadership consultants and area leaders, and topics are planned in advance. While presenters will discuss specific topics and their experiences, they will be discouraged from promoting themselves or the companies they work for. Suggestions for new topics and presenters will always be welcome and encouraged.
Although the organization’s intent is to address specific topics in hopes of enhancing leadership skills, members will also have ample opportunity to network with other members and speakers.
Leadership Pursuit is designed to provide additional tools to help young professionals in their pursuit of success.
